The ARLIS/Mountain West Chapter is pleased to announce its 2000 Annual
Regional Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 19-21, 2000.
The conference will take place at the Hilton Hotel downtown and include
presentations dealing with library instruction, collection development for
Latin American materials, and preservation of erotic materials. There will
also be sessions on the nature of artists' books, on Mormon artist Minerva
Teichert, on the exploration and settlement in the early Southwest, and
more...
The keynote speaker will be Dr. William C. Seifrit, well-known scholar who
has written extensively about Utah painting and sculpture.
Other activities will include a "Gallery Stroll" in the downtown area, a
guided tour of historic downtown Salt Lake City, and an evening in the
famous ski resort area of Park City.
The deadline for pre-registration is September 22, 2000!
